We can really say and and mean equality is really equal Thanks Pres Obama!

by Cat
(Utah USA)

I am a minority with triracial kids. They grew up hearing one language at one grandparents' and great grandparents' home and two at the others. Two distinct cultures, but at the end of the day we are Americans. The night Pres Obama was elected I cried. I could finally believe that we have achieved full equality and say it to my kids and mean it!

I cried so much for this day. We have odd ethnic names and now so does a president. Pres Obama has so much in common with my kids it is not funny. I hope no one makes fun of our family names anymore!

I have never been prouder to be an American. We are lucky we can legally intermarry and have kids. Back in the day we could not and in many nations you still cannot intermarry and have your kids legally attend school.

God Bless the US. We have come so far in my 40 plus years. Amen!
