This must be a politically correct site, because several of my comments have disappeared, and they weren't bad at all. It appears that my only sin was to suggest that spanking may sometimes be necessary.
Being a behavioral psychologist doesn't mean that I have to be in agreement with politically correct thought.

Violent Child Behaviour by: Laura Ramirez
I know how concerning it can be to witness violent child behaviour on the part of the child you know and love. As parents, it's our job to raise our children to learn to get along with others and behave appropriately. Violence toward others simply cannot be tolerated.
Since you realize that your child's behavior is getting worse and need to do something to help him, I recommend this at-home behavioral program that will teach you simple techniques to put a stop to violent child behaviour in a way that establishes firm limits without being punitive.
It's not your fault that you don't know how to deal with this. You are a good and caring parent, so please, take the steps to help your child. There's nothing worse than the regret that comes from knowing that you should have taken action when you had the chance.
Make sure to come back and post on this message board to let us know how things are going. We care and are here to help each other.
