Toilet Training SetBack due to Parents' Separation NEW
by: Laura Ramirez

Your granddaughter has had a toilet training setback due to anxiety caused by her parents' separation. This is very common. Do NOT punish her for missing the toilet, instead HELP her by taking her back to basics and reading her a good story book about going in the toilet. The one listed below is fantastic for this sort of thing:

Child Matters Once Upon a Potty Book for Girls

Author Alona Frankel suggests using this as a companion volume to your child's new potty chair, and we couldn't agree more. It's a fun, lighthearted introduction to potty training basics that flies playfully in the face of outdated taboos. Your child will learn that, just like the child in this story, her body has many nice and useful parts, including a pee-pee for making wee-wee, and a little hole for making poo-poo. Put this important new information together with a brand-new potty, and your diaper-clad toddler will surely begin to show an interest. Once Upon a Potty Book for Girls
