Sounds like your little one is ready for potty training. If she wants to get out of a wet or dirty diaper as soon as possible and is unwilling to wait for you to do a diaper change, this is a sure sign and at age, 2 1/2, it is not too early to begin the process. It is always good to take your cues about toilet training from your child.
Since I know taking off diaper during naps can be messy, you can do what other parents have done: put the diaper on backwards, so it's harder to take off, use duct tape (yes, I know of some parents who have actually done this) or use safety pins to afix the diaper to the toddler's clothing. Do this while you are toilet training and make sure to listen for your child to wake up from her nap and take him or her to the potty as soon as possible. If all goes well, your child should be in training pants shortly.
