Stepdad is unwilling to forgive

I have a a son who is 18. He is getting married, graduating and wants to go to the army with his new wife. My son has some anxiety and anger issues. He also has a big heart and wants to be forgiven for his outbursts.

My husband (his step-dad)is unwilling to forgive him for his wrong doings. I am tired of hearing only the negative about my son. Everyone says counseling, been there. Any other ideas in how to be the mediator or what I can do? This is taking a toll on my marriage....
