Reverse Psychology in Parenting

My son-in-law uses Reverse Psychology in Parenting. I don't think this is a good way to make a child follow a desired course of action. I feel that saying what you want directly is the way to go. It seems to me that if the child is intelligent, this will backfire in the long run. |
