Parenting Videos - Learn About Parenting by Watching Inspirational Videos & Big Parenting Mistakes
The selection of parenting videos will teach you some important
lessons about parenting: what to do as well as what not to do. In addition to learning some positive gems of wisdom that you can apply right away, you'll also learn from others big parenting mistakes.
The parenting videos below are selected by Laura Ramirez, child advocate, parenting workshop leader and author of the award-winning parenting book, Keepers of the Children: Native American Wisdom and Parenting.
In each case, Laura will select the video and post it and invite you to make comments. Once a number of comments and opinions have been posted, Laura will point out some things to pay attention to her that will help you learn gems of wisdom about parenting and improve your relationship with your child. With regard to parenting videos that illustrate the poor choices of parents, there's no need to go out and film these parents in the act, as they are now posting their own video on YouTube and Facebook.
Case in point: in this video on parenting, a father posts his response to his daughter's Facebook post about how she's tired of all the work she has to do at home. (You may have heard of a followup video where the same dad videos himself shooting his daughter's laptop computer. (Stay tuned ... we will also find and post this video, but this is the video that started the chain reaction). So watch it, think about what you've seen, trust your first impressions and leave your comments below. (If you don't want your first and last name posted, then just use your first name and an initial. Please don't write us later and ask us to remove posts that are associated with your real name.)

Do you think this dad did the right thing? Why or why not? How would you feel if your son or daughter wrote such a post on Facebook? How would you handle that in a way that was different than the way this dad reacted. Do you think the dad's reaction was appropriate? What do you think he is teaching his daughter? Please post your comments below. You can also share your thought and this page on Facebook or Twitter and invite others to chime in.
