Parenting Magazine: How to Raise Good Kids Who Cherish & Respect You

Family Matters Parenting Magazine will teach you what your parents didn't teach you. There's no finger-pointing, no parent-bashing here. Your parents probably did the best they could with the resources that were available at the time.

Despite this, if you are to raise a happy, healthy child, you must transcend your upbringing, so you can make healthy choices for your child. You must learn how to reflect upon your parenting skills so you can create a better relationship with your child than you had with your parents. This isn't an easy task because the parenting behaviors you want to change are part of an unconscious process.

If you don't believe this, take a moment to ask yourself some questions. Have you ever been horrified to find yourself acting just like your parents? Have you found yourself screaming or even snarling at your kids? Do you believe in your heart of hearts that this is a humane way to raise your children? Have you ever thought about the fact that how you interact with your kids will be how they treat your grandchildren one day? (And also how they'll treat you when you're old and vulnerable.)

Do you yearn to stop reactive behaviors and create a better relationship with your child, but just don't know how? Family Matters Parenting Magazine can help. Our online parenting magazine is delivered via RSS or directly to your email address.

We will help you start thinking about the deeper issues of parenting. In addition, we will be offering parenting classes in the future. These teleseminars will allow you to learn humane parenting skills from the comfort of your own home.

The insights in Family Matters Parenting Magazine are based on the work of Laura Ramirez, author of the award-winning book, Keepers of the Children: Native American Wisdom and Parenting . The book uses a unique combination of ancient native ideas and cutting edge psychology to show parents how to raise children to develop their natural strengths and lead uniquely purposeful and fulfilling lives. This is a very different book that will turn your life around and deepen and sweeten your relationship with your child. You will learn how to connect with your child on a deeper level than you ever thought was possible and create a mutually fulfilling relationship. (For those who are hesitant about reading a book with native ideas, native philosophy is not a religion and will not conflict with your beliefs.)

We're all in this together. Let's work side by side to raise a generation of children who know who they are, act from their strengths and share their strengths with others. In addition to creating a better world for everyone, such children are a joy to be around.
