Parenting Help: Our Recommended Reading List

Everyone needs parenting help at some time or another. No parent can be an expert on everything, so you turn to trusted professionals for advice on specific subjects, such as how to help your child with ADHD or how to communicate better with your teen.

In this section, you will find our list of books that offer help on a variety of topics. Each one of the books recommended here has been reviewed by Laura Ramirez, the author of the award-winning bookKeepers of the Children: Native American Wisdom and Parenting

If you have written a book that offers parenting help on a pertinent topic, post a description of your parenting book on our site.

If you would like your book reviewed by Family Matters, be aware that we receive many requests to review parenting books and have to limit our reviews. Submitting your book for review does not guarantee that a review will be posted. We will contact you only if we are interested in receiving a review copy.

If you have read a book that you would like to share with our readers, you can post your comments by clicking on the link above. You can also read reviews of
parenting books that have been posted by others.

Please be patient as we add reviews to this page.

Before reading our book reviews (which will be posted over time), please subscribe to our newsletter. The subscription box appears near the bottom of the navigation bar on the left side of the page.

Below are our book reviews that offer parenting help on various subjects. Since your relationship with your spouse or partner also affects your kids, we also feature reviews on resources that will help you create and sustain healthy adult relationships.
