My 11 yrs starting biting his mates in school as a self defence alternative

I have been so shocked the last two days knowing that my son bit 3 of friends in school as a self defence attitude...we as parents we always tell him to defend himself no matter who is it or when but not this aggressive way especially that he does practice Taekwondo...so why??? why did he get into biting and how can I sort it out and make him never do it again...I believe in grounding but this time I feel helpless as what he did is beyond this.

please help if you can ...I am open to consider anything for my boy's sake.

thank you

K B

Boy Bites to Defend Himself
by: Laura Ramirez

When an 11-year old boy bites to defend himself, this indicates infantile aggression. When babies and toddlers are enraged, they bite. Obviously, biting for an 11-year old is not an age-appropriate behavior. I would suggest that you sit down with your son and find out what was said or done that so enraged him that he resorted to this infantile form of aggression to protect himself instead of using his words, blocking punches or what he's learned from Tae Kwon Do. Once you find out what so upset him, you can teach him coping methods. If you need further help, you may want to consider my parenting coach service.
