Fun Kid Birthday Party Theme Ideas

Rather than throwing your child a birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese, why not select a kid birthday party theme that will be an event to be remembered. Recently, I threw my seven-turning-eight-year-old a party with a Survivor theme. I hadas much fun as the kids. At one point, I was laughing so hard I couldn't breathe. Afterwards, the kids talked about the party for weeks.

Although the Survivor birthday party was a memorable event, it did not cost me a lot of money. It did cost some time—about 2-3 hours of preparation, including printing out kid birthday party invitations, setting up the events and making a few theme-related decorations, but this was fun.

Since the kid birthday party theme revolved around a popular t.v. show, the kids were very excited before the party. The energy was palpable as I set up the situation and explained that they were marooned on a desert island and needed to use their wits, strength and courage to survive. I worked from a preplanned kids birthday party games package from the Birthday Party Games Lady The downloadable package came with instructions, descriptions of activities, kid birthday party invitations, a poster to print out for the entry way and a list of supplies, but I did embellish it a bit by writing out a short script to transition from one event to the next.

The party was a blast. The bond created by participating in the events was irrevocable—I could tell that all the boys grew closer. A good time was had by all. It did not cost a lot of money, so I didn't have to worry about spoiling my kids. Best of all, the events really did require strength, cunning, courage and mental agility.

Below are some more downloadable preplanned kits designed around popular kid birthday party theme ideas:

Survivor Party Game

Detective Party Game

Harry Potter Party Game

Kid Birthday Party Theme - Medieval Party Game

All birthday party theme idea packages listed above cost just $35 and come with everything you need to throw your child's party. Select one that will appeal to your child and throw a kid birthday party theme that will be a fun and memorable event. This is fun and easy, especially for the busy parent.
