i feel sooooo bad!

Today at my daughters daycare, they had a party for dr seuss. They were allowed to wear PJ's to school. Well, i forgot to send her in her pj's. My husband dropped her off and noticed everyone was dressed in PJ's. He didnt think it was a big deal that she was the only one not wearing them.

When he told me about it i told him to go back to the house and get them. But he didnt think that was important. I called the daycare and asked if she was ok and they said she was fine.

as soon as i went into my meeting the day care called and said she was upset and if i could please drop of her PJ's. I didnt get the message until after the party was over. :(

I know im to blame for this in the first place for forgetting, but i feel raising a child is a team effort. Im clueless as to why my husband didnt pick up the ball. How should i handle this if my daughter feels bad?
