get your preteen son involved in as many activities with positive black male role models as you can asap. keep in mind stereo-types and images seen on t.v or radio are just that.

there are plenty of wonderful organization for our young men. just seek and you will find. start with the greek organization on college campuses, a lot of young college men can help.

remember loving your son is not enough. you will have to gear him to be ready to handle the mean outside world. stay strong.

To try and ignore this will only make matters worse. You have to deal with it directly and that means set up a meeting with that child's parents. The child needs to be confronted in front of your son so that he can be as uncomfortable and accountable for his behavior. The principal talking to him will not do much, because then your child will be singled out as a "snitch". You have to make this child accountable and his parents need to be aware of his behavior.
