Good Parenting Prevents Drug Abuse

In an article published by the Sun Star, it was reported that good parenting and strong family ties can prevent drug abuse by teens and young adults. Although this makes sense, researchers have observed that most drug abusers come from broken homes. While I wouldn't use this to infer that children of divorce are necessarily subject to bad parenting, I think it's essential that both parents agree to contribute to the best interests of the child, maintain strong bonds and realize what a big difference they can make in children's lives.
