Does age of step children matter?

Every article I have been reading or coming across always speaks of the step children as being older. My soon to be step kids (twins, boy and a girl) are only 2 years old.

Are there any articles to read that pertain to specifically dealing with step parenting toddlers? I really need some advice before I pack up my home and move 900 miles to be with my fiance and his kiddos.

I guess I would just like to know what I am getting myself into. Thank you!
