Daughter is distant with step mom

I've been married for 11 years now and my 16 year old daughter is still distant from my wife. She's not mean, she just won't initiate conversation with my wife.

I've asked in the past if she likes my wife and she says yes and everything is fine. My previous wife left me 13 years ago and I have shared parenting. My wife is still hurt because she's tried everything. What needs to happen here?
