Child Bully

by Marina
(Los Gatos)

Child Bully

I have a three year old daughter who loves to play with our neighbor who is 2 1/2 years old. The problem is that our neighbor tends to be a bully and she has hit my daughter numerous times.

When I speak to the other mother (my neighbor), she reassures me that she has spoken to her child and it will not happen again. My neighbor encourages the children's friendship and wants them to play together.

It doesn't seem to work as the other child continues to become physical with my daughter.
How do I stop my daughter from begging me to play with her "friend"?
