Biracial Children

My name is Rachael and I was wondering if this is where I can contact Laura Pickford Ramirez. I am a 15-year old biracial child and I just wanted to thank her for the article about raising mixed race children.

I really admire her and how she explained the struggle that me and other mixed children go through everyday. like the weird looks I used to get when I would be in the store with my black father.

She also reminds me a lot of my white mother for she is a single parent raising 3 mixed kids for the last 15 years and she, just like Mrs. Laura Pickford Ramirez, has raised me and my siblings to look out for those who want to harm us but to also be open minded, respectful, and very thoughtful, but also strong-minded.

Many thanks to all the parents of mixed children who have raised us right and also reminded and showed us where we are from. Thank you very much for all you do. much
