attitude and general misbehaving

I have a ten year old daughter and a seven year old son. I am having terrible problems with my daughter, she seems to be very angry. Her attitude is very concerning. She lies a lot even about silly little things. My son's behaviour is the complete opposite from his sister. I feel like i am always on her case. I feel like I am at breaking point with my daughters behaviour. I love my daughter very much andI don't want me and my daughter to have the type of relationship that me and my mother have.
