ADHD child and visitors at home

How do other parents cope with their ADHD/ADD children when you receive visitors? For me, it's getting to the point where I am groaning when family and friends say, "Is it o.k to come round," as my son reacts badly and puts on even more of a performance.

His behaviour is challenging enough when we are home on our own, but when people come round its draining having to entertain them and my son!
