6 month old does not play with toys

My 6 month old daughter does not play with her car toys any more, she looks out the window. Is this normal?

GOD BLESS

i believe that you don't yell or hit your child, having said that, there are a lot of cool things outside the window, constantly changing. I think you have a child who is stimulated by what he or she sees out the window and has grown complacent with what used to stimulate.

You have a special baby who will always challenge you, will constantly be looking out the window throughout their life, while so many try to find a way in, one in a million are looking for a way out, how far they can go, its their nature, good luck from dad of five.

quiet on car ride

This does not happen all the time. She normally is very talkative and playing with the hanging toy in front of in the carseat. Just recently she would look out the window instead of playing with the toy. I sing to her and she responds with smiling and trying to sing. I just notices this change in the last week.
When home she wants me to play with her and we finger play, read stories, etc. Thanks

6 month old stares out the window instead of playing with toys
by: Laura Ramirez

I'm concerned that your 6 month old stares out the window instead of playing with toys. Are you engaging her or expecting her to play quietly on her own? At this stage, parents really need to engage their children in play. I remember with great fondness how much fun that I had playing with my children the first 8 years or so of life. After that, they were more interested in playing with their friends.
